Export Packing and Shipping for Silo Dust Collectors

Export packing should preserve alignment, coatings, filters, motors and controls through handling, sea transport and storage. The package must also allow customs and site teams to identify every item efficiently.
Packing Method
Depending on size and route, equipment may use a reinforced wooden case, steel frame, weather-resistant wrap or container blocking. Fragile protrusions should be removed or guarded. Open flanges and clean-air chambers should be closed against contamination.
Filters can be shipped installed only when securely supported and protected; otherwise pack them dry in labelled cartons.
Moisture and Corrosion Protection
Sea freight exposes cargo to humidity and temperature cycling. Use suitable wrapping, desiccant, sealed document pouches and corrosion protection. Avoid trapping water against painted or bare steel.
If long outdoor storage is expected, the destination should receive separate preservation instructions.
Shipping Documents

Receiving Inspection
Photograph packages before unloading, note damage on the carrier record and compare quantities with the packing list. Check moisture indicators, coatings, filter condition, shaft freedom and loose parts.
Store electrical equipment and filter media in a dry, protected place until installation.
Receiving Starts Before Shipment
A packing plan should be based on how the customer will unload and store the equipment. Oversized crates, exposed electrical boxes or loose filter elements can create damage even when the main housing arrives intact.
- Mark lifting points and centre of gravity.
- Seal openings and electrical enclosures.
- Photograph condition before closing the crate.
